This morning I went to St. Francis church which is the nearest church from where I stay. Since Father Dennis wasn't around for the mass so there was this Father Michael Woods who are from England but currently stay in Sarawak helping to share God's words to people in Sarawak. He gave a sermon this morning about sins. His words really touched my heart and soul that my tears could rolled down from my eyes but I controlled it since my dad sat beside me.
There was a guy who is a rich businessman in England that came to visit him on one fine day. He drove a Bugatti, wore a nice pair of suit and had a handkerchief on his right pocket of his coat. He came because he wanted to confess about his sins to Fr. Woods. He confessed he was cheated on his business partner because he wanted to be rich and one day his business partner died. He didn't get a chance to apologize for his wrongdoings to his friend. So one day he decided to talk about it with Fr. Woods. He seek God's forgiveness as he could not do anything about his friend's death.
Fr. Woods said to him that he only need to confess his sins to God and God will forgive him. He asked how would God so easy forgive him just like that.. He demanded to do something to ask God's forgiveness. Fr. Woods instructed him to do what he should do.. like prepare what he wanted to commit to God.. then next week Fr. Woods asked him to come to the church again. One week later, he came to the church and confessed all of his sins to Fr. Woods and F. Woods said his sins has been forgiven by Lord. But that guy still felt like it wasn't enough to show that he already repented all his sins.. Then Fr. W asked him to do something.. Every Sunday that guy must go to the church and donate his money to church. He kept doing it until one day he was appointed to be a treasurer at the church. Fr. W asked him if he did that because he wanted to do it or was it because of the act of penitence? I barely listened to him and I didn't know what caused the guy to willingly worked as a treasurer in church.
God is great and kind. His love has no ending. It's good that I was left by someone who cannot appreciate me because I know God won't disappointed me.
